Instagram time!

  1. Mikey hates when I kiss him with bright lipsticks on especially MAC's Girl About Town as it stains a little, lol.
  2. I dropped a WHOLE mug of tea right into my top make up drawer which holds most of my lipsticks and blushers and then all of my brushes and eye products minus my palettes. Thank gosh that only that one was open.
  3. Found these shoes in the back of my wardrobe. Never worn and so lush. I usually stick to my wedges but these are delish.
  4. Mummy dearest and I went to our favourite café. It's our favourite because all of the birds come so close to get crumbs. So cute.
  5. Mikey took me to see this movie FINALLY. It was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Right up my alley. Perfect.
  6. He took me to dinner just before it too at Bella Italia... I love salmon. Yum.
  7. Harry lounging around. Such a huge cat. My laptop is actually pretty big and it looks like a netbook next to him.
  8. Teasing my hair. Always fun when I look like this.
  9. Favourite eye of the moment. All Urban Decay shadows. Virgin, Busk, Sin & Zephyr.
  10. We went to a steam rally and I got to hold an owl. They had eagles, hawks, owls and vultures. Gorgeous.

Meet my furbabies!

I was always a little embarassed to admit just how much I loved my cat, Fefe when I was younger. She was everything to me. When my father exited my life, my mum bought Fefe to make me feel better and it worked. She also became a huge emotional crutch for me. I'd come home from school after a bad day of bullying and just curl up with her while I cried.
She'd always wait at the door to greet us when she heard the car pull onto the drive and my mother was always grateful for this as a single parent with three jobs. She didn't have time for friends so she loved opening the door at 4am and seeing that this small, sweet, living thing waited for her.
I came home on my 21st birthday and there she was... dead. Right by the door on the drive like she always was. It broke my heart. She was 17 years old and we spoiled her so much so I don't feel like she missed out on anything.

When Fefe had gone... we decided there was too much of a gap. We're all huge animal lovers in the Birdcage household and knew we needed another furbaby to cuddle and care for.

Alfie was owned by a family who lived a few streets away. He'd visit us everyday and never wanted to leave. One day his owner saw him in our garden and came to inquire. She asked us if we'd kept him overnight because she hadn't seen him properly for weeks. We never kept him. We always sent him home but I guess he never wanted to go. In the end she said we could keep him. She commented on his weight and the condition of his fur. We had to groom him because he was so matted and we also couldn't ignore him when he was hungry.
He's such a huge character. He's so noisy and always replies when you talk to him. When he bites you, he follows it up with a little lick to say sorry and he talks WHILE he's eating but only if it's good food!

I will be doing more posts because we have five furbabies! FIVE!

Gold and gorgeous!

1. Printed Canvas Shopper. KARL. £20.
I love this bag. Shoppers are a must for me as I don't use leather. I love anything fashion and anything artsy so this sketch of Karl Lagerfeld is bliss to me. Lovely.
2. Bug Buckle Metal Belt. ASOS. £15.
I love all living things and I love to wear images of them! I have cats, bunnies, dears, people, birds, bugs!
This is perfect!
3. Gold Tone Anchor Stud Earrings. RIVER ISLAND. £1.50
What a bargain! I've always been in love with the ocean and anything nautical! Perfect for Summer!
4. Gold Plated & Silver Feather Drop Earrings. MATHIAS CHAIZE. £85.
These are right up my street. So lovely and not obnoxious at all. I love two toned jewelry!
5. S.O.P.H.I.E - I Collection lipstick in Test. ILLAMASQUA. £15.50.
I love Illamasqua's lipsticks. I'm a huge fan of matte lipsticks and these are generally that perfect texture that I love so much. I love their design of packaging too. So chic!
6. Multi Zip Horse Clutch in Nude. ASOS. £30.
They also do this clutch in black and I'd struggle to pick one but I love this nude for Summer. It's not a huge contrast from the gold so it's not too in-your-face.
7. Little Round Pot Eyeshadow in 10 Beige Pailette. BOURJOIS. £5.99
I used to collect the little round pots in Boots because they're always 3 for 2! I stopped for a while because the colour pay off isn't great but with neutrals... I don't mind! It is buildable.
8. Gold Cat and Mouse Multi Finger Ring. RIVER ISLAND. £7.
I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this ring. It's so cute and I am obsessed with cats so this is amazing to me!
9. Holiday 2011 Highlighting Blush. NARS. £20.50.
I want, want, want this. I am using a Topshop one at the moment and I love it but I really, really want this because I also love NARS packaging!

Have fun buying my faves!
